The edge of the subject is blurred in a bright photograph |
Bright image with blurred outline |
Even in a bright photograph, this problem may occur if there is too little contrast between the light and dark areas. Increasing the contrast will sharpen the edges. In Photoshop, choose Adjust from the Image menu and click "Levels." When the dialog box opens, select Preview. You can gradually make the edges clearer by dragging the black triangle at the left edge of the histogram graph (not the shaded bar) to the right, and the gray triangle at the right edge to the left. Best results are obtained when the highest peak of the histogram is midway between the black and gray triangles. |
